Get To Know Cockatoo Island

Situated on the south side of Cockatoo Island, looking across the water to Balmain, Cockatoo Island Marine Centre helps support the maritime activity of Cockatoo Island.

Camber Wharf Visitor Marina allows boat owners the opportunity of visiting the Island under their own steam, and is one of the few places on Sydney Harbour to offer overnight berthing. And for a unique, relaxed New Year’s Eve experience, book a berth for December 31 – spaces are limited and sell out fast!

The Marina Café offers seating for 100 in a pleasant, grassed outdoor setting, with tables overlooking the marina. There’s barista coffee, beer, wine and a tasty menu with pizza, nachos, wraps & more available. A marquee offers weather protection. Please contact us for more information.

All boat storage, maintenance and commercial enquiries should be directed to Cockatoo Boat Storage.

Cockatoo Island is easily reached by ferry. The ferry timetable and NSW Government public transport trip planner can be found at and all enquiries about ferries should be made by calling 131 500.  Please visit the Harbour Trust website or call them on (02) 8969 2111 with any accommodation queries or general questions about Cockatoo Island.
